I’m in Warsaw this week for Unsound’s Ephemera festival, and since things don’t get hectic until the weekend, it means I finally had time to sit down and put together a new Mixes Digest, something I’ve been meaning to do for, well, months. Still, I’ve tried to keep the energy fresh. These are the sets I’ve been rinsing over the past week or so (including one that just published yesterday). And in something of a departure, there’s not an ambient set among them. They’re all rhythmic to the core, and four of them are relentlessly floor-focused:

  • a precision-tooled set of broken techno with a psychedelic edge

  • a dub-techno immersion from the artist behind this year’s finest dub-techno album

  • a slowly accelerating chugger recorded live in a shady corner of last year’s SOUNDIT festival in Barcelona

  • bright, colorful tech-house from a pair of UK bass converts

  • a surprisingly intense, mind-melting session from the founder of one of the Netherlands’ most exciting labels

This one’s for paying subscribers, without whom Futurism Restated wouldn’t exist. Scroll on for the sets.
